MY PASSION IS PHOTOGRAPHY. Feel sorry for my children : ( They often give me a dirty look when I whip out my camera. My son seems to be a little more frustrated at it verses my daughter...probably cause he has been making pictures for me for all of his life.
I started photographing for a 'chain' portrait studio 11 years ago. When I had my son, I was looking for a job. I happened to get his pictures made ALOT and the manager who was in offered me a job. It all began then. I can honestly say the we hearded in customers every 15 minutes from open to close. Sometimes photographing 30 families a day! (didn't leave too much time for creativity) I moved up the chain until you could move no more. I've been the manager for several different photography studios. A few years ago, I decided to open my own studio. It's a small studio in downtown Haleyville, with a small town feel to it. I travel all over Alabama for sessions and love traveling further south for beach portraits and weddings!!!
I love photography, I love the feeling I get when I am taking portraits, the tingling excitement I have until I get infront of my computer and see my portraits for the first time, the excitement I see when my clients see their images for the first time. It's a wonderful feeling to be apart of their families and their lives as their photographer. The children grow up so very quickly. Time flies by with a blink of an eye....I love stopping the clock for a second, a portrait, that will hold a memory for a lifetime.
